Alicia Demo is an LA based designer with over 10 years of industry experience in prints and fashion. She specializes in hand drawn design, repeat patterns, recoloring prints, artwork tech packages and trend research.
After graduating with honors from the Savannah College Art & Design in 2006, Alicia moved to LA to work with designer Cynthia Vincent, of Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent. Working her way from intern to design room assistant to lead sweater designer, she successfully led designs from conception to production. Working in sweater design, where every stitch counts, she began to foster a love of details for each garment she created. Between her experience in sweaters and embellishments layouts, she made the natural progression to print design.
Accepting a position as an associate at Splendid in 2011, she was quickly promoted
to a designer role in the C&S knits division. In addition to that role, she was
responsible for purchasing and executing prints from development through production,
working closely with local and overseas printers. Simultaneously, she honed her own
print-making skills by continuing her education at Otis in their textile program,
workshopping her aesthetic in the evenings and eventually designing for a small
British studio called Harika in 2015.
